Meet the Team &
Working from its offices in Aberdeen, ana’s experienced training team are right at the core of what the training centre offers. Coming from a range of backgrounds, with each individual making a worthwhile contribution to the training centre’s work, the staff work closely together to provide a first-class service and look for ways to improve how training is delivered to its candidates.
Patrick Edwards (SQA Coordinator & SVQ Assessor) – Patrick joined ana recruitment in September 2015. Over the past 12 months Patrick has gained an Award in Education and Training and become a qualified assessor. He has spent the last 35 years working in the care sector in various guises – Nurse, Care/Nursing Home Manager and Training & Development. Patrick is motivated and committed to provide assistance and support to enable candidates to make choices, achieve their goals towards their desired outcomes and their onward destination.
June Smith (Organisational Development Specialist) – June joined our team in February 2017. She has spent the last 30 years working in the public, private and third sector organisations. Key roles have included Recruitment Consultant (10 yrs), HR Manager & Investors in People Specialist (15 yrs). MA Honours in Psychology – 1983, Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management – 1985, Qualified Investors in People Assessor – 1999.
Gay Taylor (SVQ Assessor) – Gay has worked at ana recruitment for the past 5 and half years. Earlier this year Gay achieved an Award in Education and Training and become a qualified assessor. She has worked in many roles in her wide and varied career – Nurse, Nursing Home Manager, Ops Manager, Recruitment and Training. Gay brings a vast knowledge to the training department. Gay is motivated by her belief in the abilities of people and supporting them to reach their full potential.
Lorraine Stott (SVQ Internal Verifier) – Lorraine works for ana recruitment on a sessional basis. She has had a wide and varied career in the care sector. Lorranine worked as a Nurse, Nursing Home Manager and in Training and Development.
Lisa Mackenzie (Trainee SVQ Assessor) – Lisa has experience of working in mental health and learning disability support services, this is where she attained her SVQ 3. Having worked in our recruitment team for just over 3 years she has also attained her IRec qualification. Lisa set up the first community based integrated and inclusive day opportunities service for adults with learning disabilities in Aberdeen. Lisa enjoys encouraging others to achieve their true potential and is looking forward to supporting candidates through the SVQ process in an inclusive and encouraging way.
Angela White (Candidate Support) – Angela is a highly qualified care professional with over 30 years’ experience in nursing and has been with ana recruitment since 2004. She has a Certificate in Professional Training and has a SVQ Assessor’s Certificate in Care. Angela will assist candidates with any additional learning needs to ensure they achieve their ultimate goal.
